Bidyarthi Science College, an ideal day-cum-residential +2 Science college, was founded by Maa Jagat Janani Educational and Charitable Trust during the academic session 2015–2016.

Bidyarthi Science College was established to meet the growing demand for quality +2 Science education by providing an innovative and strategic approach, introducing basic fundamentals and concepts in a very understandable manner.

The college started functioning from the academic year 2015 after obtaining permission for +2 Science from the Department of Higher Education, Odisha, vide office order No. [insert number], dated [insert date], of the Regional Director of Education, Berhampur, with a sanctioned strength of 64 seats in the subjects English, MIL (Odia/Hindi/Alternative English/Sanskrit), Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and 32 seats in Information Technology.
